Ken Leonard, PHD.
Ken has been an active entrepreneur since the early 1970s; founded 17 technology companies, including the first web host to reach over a million customers, the McAfee Secure website certification service, the world's largest Search Engine Optimization Service currently used by over 5 million websites and China's first cross-border ecommerce platform acquired by Alibaba, now the world’s largest ecommerce service.
He has received Letters of Commendation from the mayors of San Francisco, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Investors in companies he founded include President George H. Bush, CitiGroup, HSBC, Softbank, Motorola, First Data Corp, and China Resources.
Ken attended medical school at the University of Vienna and has an advanced degree in radio astronomy from the University of Florida. He is an avid sailor and licensed ship's captain with two circumnavigations, a licensed pilot, ham radio operator (AG6VV) and enjoys competitive car racing. In addition to working on his own startups, he is also an active angel investor / adviser to several technology startups in the Silicon Valley area.
